AI: Discussing The Tricks & The Treats

Understanding Pros and Cons of AI

Don’t Get Tricked by AI this Halloween

As AI becomes a bigger part of how we work, it’s tempting to use it for everything. From generating social media posts to organizing workflows, AI can be a real treat for businesses looking to save time, work smarter, and do more with less.

✧ But there’s a trick to getting it right.

While AI can help streamline everyday tasks, it can’t replace the creativity, strategy, and personal connection that make a business memorable. The secret isn’t choosing between AI and human talent. It’s knowing where each one works best.

The Tricks

How AI Hurts Your Reputation

Unrecognizable Brand Identity.

Is AI making you look like everyone else? Your brand needs a distinct point of view, a thoughtful strategy, and visuals that set you apart.

Inauthentic storytelling.

Is AI embellishing your stories pretending to be someone you are not? Your customers want to connect with real people, real experiences, and real values.

Poor Quality Assurance.

AI can make mistakes, invent false “facts”, overlook nuance, and produce generic content. Your customers deserve and will demand the right information.

Not every shortcut is worth taking. For example, our own designer, Sydnee, recently drove out east to visit a restaurant recommended by AI, only to discover that it didn’t actually exist! When your brand’s reputation, relationships, or originality are on the line, human expertise is an investment, not an extra expense.

Viral AI Fails vs. Human-Made Magic

A viral AI burger fail might get attention, but not always for the right reasons.

When it comes to food, the right visuals can make all the difference. Having AI generated food is not only false advertisement, but it’s unappetizing. Who wants to eat a burger that looks like it was made of worms?

Now THAT looks delicious! What the right product photography and graphic design can do for you.

It was a labor of love creating a custom cookbook. The KGI team worked closely with Chopped Champion Chef Eric LeVine to bring his expertise to light.

KGI was instrumental in overseeing the content, design and development of the book, “Burgers, Bowls, Jars” as well as working on a promotional video shoot.

We went to farms, butchers, and the restaurants as we developed the flow and direction of the content itself. We assisted the professional food photographer, Tony Calarco on and off site, developing enticing images for print and promotional video content. Kgi created the overall look of the book, including design and layout out of the over 300 pages of text and recipes, project managing each detail through print production.

This unique cookbook pays tribute to fall, winter, spring, and summer seasonal palates, choosing the ingredients and flavors that fit each season. Chef Eric LeVine explains the importance of shopping local, eating in season, and how we should be spending more time at local farmers’ markets than at the big box grocery store. As “un AI” as it gets! Real human touch from the farm to the plate to the cookbook itself.

Where AI Can Help Your Business

Streamline the busywork.

Use AI to organize notes, summarize meetings, draft internal documents, and turn information into a starting point.

Fast-track sorting data.

From sorting customer feedback to assisting with research, AI can make information easier to manage.

Organizing delegation.

AI can act as a project management tool. Input tasks, deliverables and team members for project timelines.

✧ THE TAKEAWAY:

While AI can generate output fast and easy, it takes human insight to give your brand a distinct voice, maintain consistency, and develop a strategy that connects with your audience.
