hard to find and lucky to have.”

As winter begins to fade, March brings moments of celebration, rejuvenation, and connection. This month, we’re honoring community traditions, spotlighting the women shaping our work, and sharing wisdom from clients who inspire us every day.

Plus YAY… for the finally warm weather here in NY which makes this month the perfect time for marching in parades, going outside for fresh air and getting our bodies and businesses moving!

ST PATRICK'S DAY

A Little Luck, A Lot of Community

St. Patrick’s Day is about more than just shamrock’s and wearing green, it’s about community, connection, and showing up. Networking comes many forms and being present with other business owners while being in front of your community is a great way to make connections. Look for parades by you or join us at the Farmingdale’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, celebrating the spirit, energy, and the home of the Culinary Quarter Mile on Main Street in Farmingdale.

Spring Back Into It: 3 Tips to Start Moving Again Without Getting Hurt

This month we’re excited to feature insights from one of our clients and fellow woman in business. Laura Sommer of In Motion shares practical tips on how to ease back into movement this spring without getting hurt.

“As a physical therapist, business owner, and mom of three, I know firsthand how hard it is to carve out time to move — and how tempting it is to go all-in the moment the weather finally turns. But every spring, I see the same thing in my clinic: motivated people who did too much, too soon. If you’ve spent thelast few months hidden under blankets on your couch, no shame.

Here’s how to get outside safely:

01 | Start shorter than you think you should. Your motivation is at a 10, but your body is at a 4. That first run or bike ride? Cut it in half. A 20-minute outing done well, multiple times a week, beats a 45-minute one that leaves you limping for a week. Consistency always wins over intensity.

02 | Warm up your hips before you head out. Sitting all day tightens the hip flexors and shuts off the glutes — the exact muscles you need for walking, running, and cycling. Spend 5 minutes doing a dynamic warm up before you walk out the door. (think quad stretches, hamstring stretches, heel raises, clamshells, bridges, and band walks. Hold each for just 5 seconds and keep moving) Your knees and lower back will thank you.

03 | Build in a rest day between sessions. Recovery is where the magic happens. Aim for 2–3 days of activity per week to start, with rest, stretching or gentle walking in between. Soreness is normal; sharp or persistent pain is not — and that’s always worth getting checked out. Spring is the perfect time to reset. Just give your body a chance to catch up with your goals.”

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

Celebrating Women in Business

In recognition of Women’s History Month, we’re proud to spotlight the women in business we’re honored to work with. These leaders bring vision, resilience, and purpose to everything they do, and collaborating with them continually inspires our own creativity and growth.

Click on each professional woman’s spotlight below to see how KGI brought their creative collateral to life.

Supporting women in business and women-owned companies isn’t just a value we celebrate in March, it’s something we believe in year-round. Their stories, leadership, and impact are shaping industries and communities in meaningful ways, and we’re grateful to be part of their journeys. Learn more about the work we have done together. Are you a woman owned business? We’d love to work with you on your personal and business brand to position your company for growth.

DESIGN TO GO

Travel In Style with KGI

And so the Adventure Begins… is the first thing you will experience when visiting woman owned travel company Seaglasstravelco.com. “Travel has always been my greatest passion, it opens my heart and mind to new experiences, people, and perspectives,” says woman owner Cheryl Mittel.

After 25 years in the corporate world, she decided to follow her passion and help others chase their own wanderlust which led her to the creation of SeaGlass Travel. The KGI team worked one-on-one with Cheryl to develop her brand further through sharing a gorgeous array of travel inspirations on her recently launched website.

“At KGI, we believe great ideas, driven by great women in business, are the impetus for growth. From client meetings to brand research and creative inspiration, our journey is powered by the incredible women we collaborate with every day.”

Our KGI travel bags are a small symbol of that spirit: built for wherever business, creativity, and ambition take you next.

Because when women support women, there’s no limit to how far the journey goes. Wander the world. Discover the unknown. Collect the memories. And be sure to bring KGI along with your with your own KGI travel bag.

Who Can KGI Connect You With?

Last month in our Business Mindfulness article, we talked about the importance of making connections – how a simple introduction at the right moment can open the door to new partnerships, ideas, and opportunities. Networking doesn’t always have to happen in a crowded room; sometimes it starts with someone simply saying,

“You two should meet.”

At KGI, making those connections is something we truly love to do. Over the years, we’ve built relationships with incredible business owners, nonprofits, community leaders, and entrepreneurs, and we’re always happy to help bring the right people together.

Are you a nonprofit looking to expand your reach?

Are you a business hoping to become more involved in the community?

Let us know. The right introduction can make all the difference—and we’d love to help start the conversation. KGI helps companies say Hello! 🤝
