RIDING WITH PURPOSE

Empire State Ride to End Cancer

Last week, KGI sponsored and participated in the 2025 Empire State Ride to End Cancer — a powerful event that’s more than just a bike ride. On June 14, riders across Long Island came together to bike, in the rain, in support of the Catholic Health Cancer Institutes and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Driven by a shared commitment to fight cancer, the event raised an incredible $118,692! These funds support innovative research projects that bring us closer every day to a future free from cancer.

Shout out to SNY,  Mondays Cancer Care,  Bruce Blakeman,  LI Press,  NY Islanders,  News 12,  REI,  106.1 WBLI,  Mancave Health,  Camp Good Mourning,  Nassau Federal Credit Union, the Town of Oyster Bay, and the other amazing sponsors we got to see!

We’re incredibly grateful to all of the friends, family and colleagues that supported our team. We’re also proud of Kim and all the riders whose dedication and hard work made this possible. At KGI Design Group, we believe in supporting causes that matter — both through our work and in our communities.

With a goal of $1.000, we came close at $922. It’s not too late to donate!

EVENT HIGHLIGHT

SALSA CALENA

Alejandra Prada’s Salsa Caleña USA Festival is an event with an effort to bring together many different cultures- both within and outside of the hispanic community. Last month, KGI had the opportunity as a sponsor and attendee to get involved in the vibrant rhythms of salsa at the Salsa Caleña event right here on Long Island at Stereo Garden in Patchogue. This lively celebration brought together dancers and music lovers for an unforgettable day and night (from 10am to 3am!) filled with energetic moves and infectious beats,. It was a fantastic way to connect with the community and enjoy some spirited dance while supporting local arts! Relive the experience here.

We’re excited to participate in more events like this that bring such great energy and joy to our area.

Look out for their next event:

BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT

Optimize your Summer Downtimes

☀️ If business is slowing down in the summer, why not take the opportunity to refine your brand, refocus your goals, and check off those lingering tasks?

At KGI, we’re here to help you do just that. Take a look at one of our recent projects to see how we can help your business!

Great partnerships don’t just execute deliverables — they evolve the idea. When we first connected with MapToons, they were looking to update their existing- but minimally functioning- app. After thorough market research, insightful consultations and brainstorming sessions, we discovered that there were other adjustments that needed to be made first.

MapToons embraced the shift in direction, and the project is successfully developing. KGI updated their current illustration styles, color palettes and fonts, developed a brand guide sheet, defined artwork direction, and even aligned the brand voice. All of these changes helped to create a more cohesive brand and inclusive and diverse map style.

Whether you need a refresh or a full brand rethink, let’s make the most of a summer slowdown — together
