As we dive into another exciting month during our yearlong celebration of 30 years, we can’t help but feel incredibly grateful and honored for the recent recognition we’ve received. Thanks to the generosity of Optimum Business and the Long Island Association, KGI was awarded a generous L.O.C.A.L. Small Business Grant. This support not only validates our hard work but also fuels our commitment to pleasing our clients! It’s not always easy, but gestures like this remind us why we’re passionate about what we do and inspire us to continue striving for excellence.
The grant was presented at the 2024 Small Business Summit last month. Seeing so many fellow small businesses come together to celebrate and network was inspiring. The event emphasized the importance of community support and collaboration, which are values at the heart of what we do here at KGI. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, driving innovation, creating jobs, and enriching our communities.
At the event, 50 Long Island businesses were each awarded a $5,000 grant to support their growth and development. Beyond the financial aid, the gathering facilitated valuable connections among recipients, News 12 Long Island reporters, and other local businesses, offering opportunities for collaboration and mutual advocacy. This networking aspect emphasized the event’s broader impact in empowering small businesses to thrive and succeed within our community.

For KGI, the grant will be used to hire interns to handle social media and PR outreach as well as assist with not-for-profit initiatives. Hiring interns gives us a fresh, young perspective to broaden our capabilities and widen our audience to gain more clients. Although most students struggle with finding jobs without having experience, we take pleasure in hiring local students from our surrounding colleges, allowing them to learn and gain crucial experience.
