FRESH MARKETING

What if your biggest dread became a fun marketing idea? Our “Happy August 34th!” post came from our dread of summer coming to an end. As we round out September and have survived our first Autumn Nor’Easter summer seems far gone. But we so miss the sun, warmth and relaxed attitude of August – and since Labor Day was after September began this year we took matters into our own hands. At KGI we decided summer wasn’t ending just yet. Having found these adorable dessert cups we created mini snacky fishbowls to have on our desks the week before the Labor Day. The creative mashup consisted of Nerds + Goldfish, a mini fishbowl, and a whole lot of “we’re not ready for fall” energy.

Marketing doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s about being relatable, taking something familiar, putting an unexpected spin on it, and giving people a reason to stop scrolling. Combining two or more concepts in unexpected ways creates social content people remember. Whether it’s…

  • Nerds × Goldfish × KGI’s love of summer
  • Holidays × Nostalgia × Your brand
  • Trending Social Media Audio × Inspired Market × Your Product

We’re the agency that looks at things differently. Our team brings together designers, marketers, ceramicists, photographers, videographers, painters, and more. That multidisciplinary perspective allows us to approach marketing from different angles and create unique, unexpected and memorable experiences for your brand.

Annual Fall Event

Farmingdale Chamber Comedy Night

Events don’t start when the doors open. We put that thinking into practice with the  Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce. By creating memorable branding, marketing and promotional materials for their upcoming event, we built excitement from the very beginning.

Comedy Night
This attention-grabbing campaign was custom designed based on the chamber’s color palette without leaning on AI, to draw a crowd and build excitement for the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Comedy Night.

The creative was carried across flyers, social media reels, table tents, and event signage for a cohesive look from promotion through the event.

4 Quick Tips

Make Your Next Event Memorable

1. Start before the invitation sends.
Build anticipation through social media, email, teasers and behind-the-scenes content.

2. Create a visual world.
Your event should feel like a brand, not a collection of disconnected pieces.

3. Give people something to remember.
A clever detail, unexpected graphic, photo moment, takeaway or social-worthy element can extend your event far beyond the room.

4. Be wary of the overuse of AI in creating promotional flyers.
AI can make your flyer look great, but tends to make it look like every other event and flyer around town. Stay true to your branding by consulting your local professional design firm, or call us!
